HORSE, HEALTH AND HAPPINESS RETREATS

Clinician, Jim Durling
Wallace River Equestrian Centre hosts retreats for riding enthusiasts. The retreats can be 3-4 days in length. Participants stable their horses at the farm and enjoy the RiverWood and Folly Farm guest rooms for themselves.
Each day includes a semi-private lesson with distinguished clinicians specializing in either Western Reining, or English Dressage. After a gourmet lunch the riders saddle up and head out for trail riding. The group may trailer the horses to a local beach for a once in a life time gallop on tide swept sand. After an exhilarating day on the trail the horses are fed, settled down to their paddocks or stalls and riders collapse to an evening of dining, campfire and if you have the energy, a short walk to see the night sky from the center of the Wallace River Standing Stones. It is a magical day for everyone. Each day is different and participants develop and improve their riding skills with the clinician led lessons.
Horse, Health and Happiness Retreats are custom built to meet the diverse needs of those in attendance. It is a holiday like no other. Our annually returning Galloping Gourmets plan for a spring or autumn long weekend of lessons, trails and beaches and great food. They have included a riding visit to Jost Vineyard, a ride along the Trans Canada Trail into Tatamagouche to lunch at the Farmers Market and fabulous rides on the Northumberland coastal beaches.
